Red, Gold and Green - A celebration of victory

My love of nature naturally extends to flowers. There were a bunch of lovely flowers planted in Spring last year at Sydney park and I couldn't help be drawn particularly to one of them - nasturtiums. Firstly for its vibrant foliage, cheerful colours and its lovely buttery-shaped leaves. Secondly for its symbolism as it means victory through conquest and battle! Often we have our own battles to fight and it's easy to forget our victories. This flower is a simple reminder to celebrate all those victories; small and big.
