Nasturtiums - A celebration of victory
Oil on canvas board | 21.5 x 21.5 cm | framed
My love of nature naturally extends to flowers. There were a bunch of lovely flowers planted in Spring last year at Sydney park and I couldn't help but be drawn particularly to one of them - Nasturtiums. Firstly for its vibrant foliage, cheerful colours and its lovely buttery-shaped leaves. Secondly for its symbolism as it means victory through conquest and battle! Often we find ourselves consumed with our daily battles that we forget to recognise our victories. This flower is a reminder to celebrate all those victories; small and big.
